Scott Gibson, FSA, has been re-elected to the Board of Directors of the Life Insurance Settlement Association (LISA) for another two-year term at their 14th Annual Spring Conference in Washington, DC.

Lewis & Ellis, Inc. is pleased to announce the opening of our new Phoenix office. This office is headed by Martin Gibson who brings more than 25 years of diverse healthcare actuarial and managerial experience to L&E clients. Martin specializes in Medicaid and Medicare managed care and has assisted clients with a broad variety of services ranging from IBNR reserve development to HMO development. The Phoenix office will specialize in Health and Employer Support.

Mike Mayberry, FSA, will speak on Principles based reserves at the Society of Financial Examiners (SOFE) Annual Meeting in August.

L&E has had its GSA Schedule Contract Number GS-23F-0083N under Schedule Number 520 - Financial and Business Solutions extended by the GSA for another five year period. Lewis & Ellis, Inc. is pleased to announce the opening of our new London office. This office, operating under the name "Lewis & Ellis UK Limited", will provide support to companies and funds examining the Senior Life Settlement market. Roger Annin, Tim DeMars and Scott Morrow of the Kansas City office have relocated to London. Their initial focus is to provide expertise on the US Life Settlement market to our many overseas clients.

Leon Langlitz, FSA, has been elected to the Society of Actuaries' Smaller Insurance Company Section Council for a three year term beginning in October 2006.

Roger Annin, FSA, FIA, has been appointed Chair of the Life Insurers Council (LIC) Actuarial Committee.
